Internet Marketing UK

Peter Yexley focuses on marketing and promoting websites in Britain.

There are many strategies thatcan increase website traffic and popularity. Some are extremely dubious but very cheap and will certainly do long term damage to your online business, long after you have paid the 'Google expert'! These type of techniques are called 'Black Hat Internet Marketing'. The opposite is called White Hat Internet Marketing. In the old wild west movies, the goodies always wore white hats.

Cheaters never prosper, so we keep it clean and conduct ethical website marketing.

Basic website promotion should start with page optimisation , this is tweaking website pages including meta tags optimization, proper keyword optimization ( Keyword Weight & Density) etc . Another term for this is SEO (search engine optimization) (note I keep shifting from z to s and vice versa). Optimising shouldn't affect your actual website design unless it is designed so badly that it is impossible to leave it as it is. Generally the appearance doesn't change, just the coding and perhaps a slight alteration of text.

The next thing is building quality in-bound links. This can be done in many ways; Banner Links, Blogs, Articles, Social Networking and so on. It can however be the down fall of many a website if done wrongly. Beware of 'Link Farms'. Black Hat Internet Marketers are likely to offer you a link building service that is guaranteed to drive untold amounts of traffic to your website.

Hundreds of thousands or millions and millions of visitors.

You'll even see the vast increase in traffic but it won't put money in the bank and much of it will be software robots and spiders. The links will be irrelevant to your business and quality search engines will see too many too soon and it will be obvious that you are manipulating the system.
I build all links by hand, it is slow but powerful and the results are long lasting.
